FONE API Communications Solutions is a communications platform that provides Application Programing Interfaces or APIs for Text Messaging, Voice, Video, and Authentication. Our APIs handle the complex task of building and maintaining multifaceted communications framework to enable businesses and developers to focus on adding value and creating consumer-friendly applications. From day one, our vision has been to remove communication barriers so that any business or individual can communicate regardless of the time, distance, and device.
Over the years, FONE API has successfully developed a cloud-based communications platform for every modern business to communicate competitively through all relevant channels with easy to integrate SDKs. We have worked with major clients including WA Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Citibank, 7eleven, P.F. CHANG'S, Fortune 500 companies, and more.
FONE API enables businesses to increase their reach, establish their brand, and expand their business using advanced digital communication channels to deliver a combination of smart and tactical solutions to communicate with your target audiences with the right message, using the ideal channel, at the right moment

FONE API STUN servers give information to the devices behind the NAT on what port and public IP as it appears to the rest of the world.
FONE API confirms how the devices LAN NAT has translated the private IP of a device and will also issue a public IP and TURN media relay option to be used in case it is needed.
IP/port are shared by devices to attempt direct streaming over SDP. The far end device initiates a connectivity test to that IP to check if a peer-to-peer connection is possible.
A session is established with direct media if devices are able to contact each other through the candidate STUN.
Media relays through the geographically nearest relay point If devices are not able to connect due to some issues. The SDP negotiates the use of TURN media relay IP to do this.
Focus building your app rather than build a global media relay framework to get around firewalls with the use of FONE API infrastructure.
85% of the time all you need to get your media to flow directly is STUN (Session Traversal Utilities for NAT) that is the first step in negotiating the connection between two WebRTC. That provides free lookups for unlimited reliable STUN so that you can have free peer-to-peer calls.
FONE API providers you a TURN (Traversal Using Relay NAT) whenever media cannot be routed peer-to-peer. This ensures that your media will be routed through symmetric NATs and firewalls.
GEO-DNS resolution ensures that your media is always routed without any latency through the relay points in eight different regions around the globe.
Complies to RFCs, 5389, 5769, 5780, 5766, 6062, 6156, 5245, 5768, 6336, 6544, 5928 over UDP, TCP, TLS, and DTLS.
FONE API gives you free use of STUN and pay-as-you-go pricing and TURN is metered by bandwidth usage making it cheaper than operating your own.
Meter your usage by the customer, by different apps to get usage logs, threshold alerts, and billing records by using sub accounts.
Dashboards of your usage that you can view real-time.
Export & see historical sub account usage logs.
Demand a scale with no traffic limit and concurrency.
In developing real-time communications, whether you're using WebRTC, softphones or building your own stack, here's how FONE API aids in building a better service, faster.
WebRTC will make sure that you get the most efficient firewall traversal in the world. Just provide your auth token and the URL to the FONE API service in your UServers array. That is all it takes. Now you can focus on building your app rather than infrastructure.
Whether you're building a media engine on the WebRTC code or your mobile communication app. Network Traversal Services helps you get the experience to go global in a short period of time.
FONE API ensures that users get the lowest latency if they prefer to roam internationally without having to build new infrastructures.
With one click voice and video calling, screen sharing and more, unified communication (UC) deployment offer greater productivity to employees. But without the option for global network traverse, this doesn't hold true. Network Traversal Service gives a great experience to all your employees wherever they may be located.
